WRITING SKILL

Strategies you usually use for teaching and enhancing writing skills in your classes. 

When I am talking with my students in class about the English learning process, I try to make a comparison between English learning and going to the gym. I always say to them that English learning is like to go to the gym, If you want to get a fitness body, you must go there every day, the same happens in English learning, if they want to be better they must practice every day. 

I select some activities in which they have to write,most of them are connected with their interest or their daily lives,  for example, this year I assigned them the following writing practice. 1. They had to write about their superhero, most of them choose their moms or dads. They inspired the writing skill through their feelings 2. They wrote about their passion. Most of them wrote about their favorite sports and why they like it. 3. Students made some surveys to people in the school about the activities people love to do in their free time. Then my students collected data and write some conclusions taking into account the results.  

Most of the time they felt frustrated because I recognize this skill requires a huge process of discipline and Constance.  But we have to include more activities that help them and still doing our task as teachers not only of English but in all subjects. 

Becoming a great writer takes time and there really is no hurry to get there. Everyone simply wants to practice this art every day. Many writers have a minimum amount of words they would ideally like to write a day. This helps with consistency and this is very important to writers. Creating a new habit will take some time, but after a while, you will find your perfect routine. 

On the other hand, writing skill is the most demanding skill that will help us to get a job today, due to the evolution of information technology, writers are in demand to create digital media content. Such as digital marketing companies need a content writer. News websites need writers, social media marketing companies needs writers and many other IT-related or non-IT companies need a writer to help them through writing for digital marketing channels such as brand quotes, advertisements, social media posts, blogs.
